The Nana-House Connection

Also known as, my dorkiness grows with each day. This is not one of my...more organized (or well-edited) metas, especially since I have a much bigger one on the way (compare/contrast of the subtext in House, Buffy, Nip/Tuck, and Torchwood, woohoo!) and I'm suffering massive shock from Torchwood S2 possibly being good.

Anyway.

Spoilers for House S4 and Nana Vol.8. Please don't spoil Nana for me, though. )

12 Drabbles

Title 12 Drabbles
Rating PG-13
Pairing House/Wilson, House/Wilson/Cuddy
Word Count 1,200
Spoilers None
Summary Twelve unrelated drabbles, just like the title says. Written while listening to Noe Venable's Boots.

The thing about drabbles...you do one batch, then you want to do more. Or maybe I'm just extra-fangirly because Season 4 is so close to starting.

And just because, here's an interview with Lisa Edelstein in the new issue of Bitch. As expected, they asked her about Cuddy's "baby quest" being a cliche, although not in as much detail as I would have liked (understandable, it's not like Lisa Edelstein writes the show).

The shortest time you've gone from happily married to adulterous: twenty-four days. )

Summary House gets into one of his moods when he finds an interesting case. Wilson copes.

Writing established House/Wilson is even harder than I thought it would be. Wow. There's really not a lot to go on.

Wilson's mind had a running commentary of “glass walls glass walls glass walls” every time he walked into this office. )

The Case for Big Gay Wilson

My goal is less to prove Wilson is gay or bisexual, and more to show how House, MD could effortlessly go in that direction from the way Wilson has been characterized, and how the storyline could play out. While this is relevant to his relationship with House, the points do not center on it and deal with the relationship only peripherally.

I will be referring to Wilson as gay, although he could just as (or more) easily be bisexual. I don't care to argue where exactly he lies on the Kinsey Scale, as that point is irrelevant.

Clearly, Wilson's behavior is open to interpretation. From his actions in Season 3, he could very easily be codependent (covered already). He could also simply be in love with House, regardless of orientation (covered, covered, and covered). He could also be gay, which is the angle I decided to explore.

I also am not judging Wilson based on his “stereotypically gay” traits. Yes, he likes to cook and keep things tidy. He's concerned with his appearance, blow-dries his hair, and more than likely wears toe-nail polish. He has a bit of a feminine aura to him and knows a little too much about the Village People. As far as I am concerned, these are Wilson's personal quirks, nothing more.

He's here, he's queer, get used to it. Damnit. )

House, Wilson, and the Enneagram

Bought a book on the Enneagram after being kind of impressed by the typing system to help me develop some characters. Then, of course, it occurred to me to apply it to my unhealthy obsession, House. Specifically, House and Wilson (for this post, at least).

Reading makes you stupid. )

Spoilers Some Season 3 references
Summary Five ways Wilson could have come out (or been forced out) of the closet, but more than likely didn't.

I've been wanting to write this one forever. Entertainingly, OpenOffice likes to guess what word I'm typing. For this story, it decided I was trying to title it "Five Ways Wilson Didn't Come Outrageously." That sounds like a fun story. Alas, it's not this one.

What's the differential diagnosis for an adult male who blow dries his hair? Besides being Chase, of course. )

Summary James Wilson is not a touchy-feely guy.

Another short fic to keep from going insane while working on a much longer one. And on a completely unrelated note: I had a dream about Wilson, House, Foreman, and Cameron (yes, I know, no Chase!) having a freaky four-way in a patient's kitchen. I blame Nip/Tuck.

Sometimes Wilson is pretty stupid when it comes to House. )

The House/Wilson Timeline (Updated 8/23/07)

Geekery mode on! I feel the urge to write down my personal timeline for House and my justifications. I'll just keep adding to this post and linking back every time the topic comes up instead of repeating my arguments...

House and Wilson met eight years before the start of the show. That's my argument and I'm sticking to it. )

Title Better Than Any Drug
Rating PG-13
Pairing House/Wilson; Wilson/Cuddy and House/Cuddy if you squint
Word Count 1,779
Spoilers This is written as a pseudo-alternate version of season three (only because I'm too impatient to wait for the season to end and start from there), and some events occur in the story, although a little jumbled up, so yes and no to there being spoilers.
Summary House is running out of vicodin and Wilson notices him limping again. Then House is forced to bond with a rape victim, drudging up bad memories and more pain.

Well, here's chapter 4, which kind of took it's own direction. It feels a bit...off, but I did some tweaking that seemed to make it worse, so I left it alone. Oh well. In other news, I started watching Oz obsessively (finished S3), and Beecher/Keller really reminds me of House/Wilson. Which is both creepy and awesome.

He stopped putting faith into anyone a long time ago – not in his father, mother, friends, and especially not lovers. )

Spoilers This is written as a pseudo-alternate version of season three (only because I'm too impatient to wait for the season to end and start from there), and some events occur in the story, although a little jumbled up, so yes and no to there being spoilers.
Summary Cameron accidently catches House and Wilson kissing while delivering a case. Being Cameron, she can't drop the issue and investigates, and Wilson being himself, panics.

Here's chapter 3, which is actually the first one I wrote (and the easiest)! This chapter's song, "I'm A Guy," is from Anjuli Dawn's album Give, and taken completely out of context to make it fit =D God, I love this song.

“I think I saw House kissing Wilson,” Cameron says in a small voice, as if she is suffering some sort of trauma from seeing her boss lock lips with someone who isn't her. )
