The Case for Big Gay Wilson

My goal is less to prove Wilson is gay or bisexual, and more to show how House, MD could effortlessly go in that direction from the way Wilson has been characterized, and how the storyline could play out. While this is relevant to his relationship with House, the points do not center on it and deal with the relationship only peripherally.

I will be referring to Wilson as gay, although he could just as (or more) easily be bisexual. I don't care to argue where exactly he lies on the Kinsey Scale, as that point is irrelevant.

Clearly, Wilson's behavior is open to interpretation. From his actions in Season 3, he could very easily be codependent (covered already). He could also simply be in love with House, regardless of orientation (covered, covered, and covered). He could also be gay, which is the angle I decided to explore.

I also am not judging Wilson based on his “stereotypically gay” traits. Yes, he likes to cook and keep things tidy. He's concerned with his appearance, blow-dries his hair, and more than likely wears toe-nail polish. He has a bit of a feminine aura to him and knows a little too much about the Village People. As far as I am concerned, these are Wilson's personal quirks, nothing more.

He's here, he's queer, get used to it. Damnit. )

House, Wilson, and the Enneagram

Bought a book on the Enneagram after being kind of impressed by the typing system to help me develop some characters. Then, of course, it occurred to me to apply it to my unhealthy obsession, House. Specifically, House and Wilson (for this post, at least).

Reading makes you stupid. )

House Finale

Blah blah fangirl talk. If you didn't see the finale yet, keep in mind:

- Don't assume slashy things about spoilers. (You know what I mean.)

- Don't expect No Reason ever to be topped by anything. (At least until something does.)

This isn't totally coherent, because I need to go to sleep.

I liked it. There, I said it. )

The House/Wilson Timeline (Updated 8/23/07)

Geekery mode on! I feel the urge to write down my personal timeline for House and my justifications. I'll just keep adding to this post and linking back every time the topic comes up instead of repeating my arguments...

House and Wilson met eight years before the start of the show. That's my argument and I'm sticking to it. )

320 - Housetraining

Okay, maybe I'm obsessing, but Doris Egan is probably the best writer on House. She knows how to poke the characters - make them uncomfortable, make the audience uncomfortable, and, of course, she writes great House and Wilson scenes.

So I shall analyze the awesome that was tonight's episode. )
