House, Wilson, and Romance Tropes
“I have the right to walk away from you, House.” What can I say? I'm stricken by the amount of romance tropes used in House/Wilson storylines on the show - such as the classic moment depicted in my icon - especially starting with Season 4's Amber Arc. Because I'm too lazy to come up with a list myself, and to make sure I wasn't imagining it, I moseyed on over to TV Tropes. This is what I found House/Wilson storylines fit into... ( Some vague Season 5 spoilers. )

STFU, FANDOM
House fandom is seriously pissing me off right now. Especially House/Wilson shippers: "Oh, boohoo! Wilson had no screen time this season, even though nearly every episode was a House/Wilson fest, and none of the other original cast members had nearly as much time on screen!" Or: "Oh, boohoo! TPTB is trying to take the gay away from us, even though they've all pretty much admitted to loving it!" Or: "Boohoo, House and Wilson are OH NOES ANGRY WITH EACH OTHER. Even though they'll be friends again and we know it." UGH. And then: "AMBER WAS THE LOVE OF WILSON'S LIFE." WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? I GO "WTF?" WHEN PEOPLE SAY THAT ABOUT HOUSE/STACY. ...Yeah, most fandom discussions are crawling under my skin. So, keeping to my "fandom should be fun, damnit" philosophy, I'm just skipping out on most of them and be lurky for a while (and work on my immensely bizarre fic). I have a feeling it won't be tolerable again until several episodes into Season 5.
